Why you need outdoor sockets for lights this Christmas

Why you need outdoor sockets for lights this Christmas

It’s that time of year when the dusty boxes come down from the attic. Inevitably, after much wrestling with tinsel and the odd bauble breakage, you discover your old Christmas lights are not working anymore.

Off you go to the garden centre!

You buy your new lights, get them home, and then you remember all the problems you had last year.

I very typically get lots of calls about outside light sockets during these dark months. Everyone wants a jolly Christmas and to bring a little cheer with some festive lights and I am always happy to help. Give A Bathe Electrics a call if you have any of the following problems:

1.      No outside socket

You don’t have an outside socket and do not fancy leaving the door/window open to run and extension lead to power the lights.

2.      A broken socket

The outside socket you do have is not working and have not used it since last Christmas.

3.      Not enough sockets

You only have one or two outside plug sockets but somehow managed to come home with two sets of Christmas lights, an illuminated reindeer, and a giant inflatable Santa!

4.       Too small a lid

You know you have an outside socket that works, but when you go plug it in you realise the Christmas lights plug is too big for the outside socket lid to close, so renders it unless as you can’t leave it plugged in during the rain or snow.

If you have encountered any of the above then give A Bathe Electrics a call as we are happy to advise. We don’t want to leave you in the dark this Christmas, so get in touch.
