Yes, but depending on the extent of the work it may be possible to isolate the power loss to one or more circuits. It will depend on which circuits are connected to which RCDs (Residual Current Device) in your system. An RCD is a safety device in your circuit. If there are more circuits attached to the RCD the damaged circuit is on, then all the circuits connected with that RCD will need to be turned off.

Yes. All work undertaken come with a 12-month warranty. The warranty will only include the work carried out by A Bathe Electrics. This also includes any parts or accessories that A Bathe Electrics have supplied. Any parts or accessories supplied by the customer will not be covered under the warranty.

Time is money. Any preparation (such as moving furniture) or tidying up that you do can save you money in the long run.

The length of every rewire is different depending on the size of the property and the project’s requirements. As a very rough estimate, for a standard rewire on a 3-bedroom house it can take up to 10 days.

The best situation is to have a property vacant while a rewire is taking place. However, if this is not possible then depending on the requirements and situation it may be possible to rewire while the property is occupied. This will most likely increase the overall cost of the rewire and slow down the work.

Again, this can depend on how far your building is from your property, how much preparation work you are able to do and how large your building is.

If the project you are having done requires a deposit, then you will be notified at point of estimate.

No, when you have a fuse board changed the 12-month warranty is only for the work carried out on and in the new board, not your whole electrical installation. You will be provided with a recommended date to have your electrics retested, but this isn’t a warranty. The only exception to this is when your fuse board replaced as part of a whole rewire; the warranty covers all the work done by A Bathe Electrics.

No, as A Bathe Electrics is part of a Competent Person’s Scheme and is assessed and checked regularly. All the paperwork is done on your behalf.

No, only certain work requires a certificate to be issued. However, if you know would like a certificate to be issued, even if it’s not required, this can be done on request.

I do my best to ensure that I make as little mess as possible. However, sometimes slight damage can occur to plaster around fixtures in the course of works undertaken.
